Samsung are among the top contenders in the competitive smartphone market, and the diversity of their product range is one of the things that makes this company such a popular choice. Let's take a look at a couple of their products – the popular
Samsung Galaxy Note and the soon to be released Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The Samsung Galaxy Note, available for just £558 including VAT from Clove Technology, runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. This is a phone designed for those with a busy business schedule – the iconic stylus technology of the original PDA is spliced with the cutting-edge features of the modern smartphone to create a truly unique device.
The Note comes with a super-large display, measuring 5.3inches. That's the largest display available on a smartphone. It also comes with a customised version of TouchWiz called S Pen.
Combine that with the included Smart Pen and you have one of the best devices to make notes on the go. The
Galaxy Note also has a handy to do list feature, which combines with the TouchWiz S Pen to make organisation super easy – from planning a meeting agenda to making a Christmas shopping list.
The massive 5.3" display, with a resolution of 1,280x800, of the Galaxy Note combines with the included 'Smart Pen' to offer an experience different to any other Android handset. Ideal for making notes on the go, the Galaxy Note includes a 'to do list' feature that combines with TouchWiz S Pen to offer superb organization options.
The HD Super AMOLED touchscreen is very responsive to the touch of the stylus or the finger. Of course, life is not all about work and the 5.3 inch screen is also ideal for watching videos, looking at photographs and surfing the internet.
As well as its large display, the
Samsung Galaxy Note also has a large internal memory to match. 16GB of onboard storage provides plenty of space to store music, videos and alike, but there's also the option to expand this by a further 32GB via the MicroSD slot. All of this is powered by a 1.4GHz dual core processor, which is enough to handle even the most demanding use.
Meanwhile, the
Samsung Galaxy Nexus, is the soon to be released sibling of the Note, and the first smartphone to run Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. A range of new and exciting Android features are introduced via the Galaxy Nexus thanks to Android Ice Cream Sandwich. These include Face Unlock, a means of unlocking the device by looking at the 1.3 MP front facing camera. There's also Android Beam, a feature that enables you to readily share contacts, apps, websites and more between two NFC enabled Android devices. Improvements have been made to such apps as calendar and web browser, too.
This new operating system is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM, and there's 16MB of built-in memory to boot.
The
Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available for £514.80 from Clove Technology.
